KISUMU – Willis Ochieng and John Wijass showed up for Jooust Suns as they sunk 20 points each against Kisumu Boys to win 56-46 in a tightly contested match at the Kisumu Boys School. The two have been on a roll posting double digits in all the games played so far. This was Suns third win in a row having beaten Andaki 95-91 in a perhaps game of the season, and easily going Past Mbale Saints 58-16.
The Suns who are on a 5-1 run and sit at position two on the log one point behind the red hot Kisumu All-stars. All-stars are 6-0 and sitting pretty at the top of the table.
Andaki and the Natives are on position 3 and 4 respectively. All are on a 3-3 with Andaki having a head to head advantage.
Pacho Hoops, Kisumu boys and Mbale Saints complete the bottom three with a 2-4, 1-4 and 0-5 runs respectively. However the Kisumu Boys and The Saints have a game in hand.
With almost all the games of the first leg being played, the league takes a one week break and is set to resume on the 15th of July, 2017.
Only the top Four teams will get the play off slots. As such, second leg is set to be more competitive as the teams fight for the top four positions.
