NAIROBI– Lions had to use every trick in the book against Trailblazers Saturday evening at Nyayo Stadium. At the end Lions handled the conditions, and the team, and it sure helped when the team won 53-51 off a Victor Ochieng layup with 20 seconds to go.

Strathmore got a crucial away win against Nakuru Club with a 64-56 win

Masaku Sparks struggled in the first four games of the new season, but stormed back to demolish the Kenyatta University Oryx 77-43, to register their first win. New signing Lynette Akinyi led Masaku with 23 points. A good show of the depth from the Masaku roster.

U.O.N Terrorists held off K.U Pirates for a 60-54 victory, Umoja had a huge first quarter 23-09 ans they cruised to a 82-46 win over Lakeside. Meanwhile high school champions Upperhill beat Eldonets 51-47.

The consistently under-the-radar Zetech University Sparks have recently been doing something that demands attention. They are currently on a 5-game winning streak, the longest such streak in the newly formed division 1 league for women. Eveline Atieno scored 12 points as the Sparks extended their winning streak with a 57-31 victory over Eldonets.

Linda Kimemia scored 19 points, Emily Ongoro had 18, and Gladiators got the better of Kisumu Lady Bucks, surging to a 62-45 victory.

Red hot Blazers continued with their winning ways when they beat Egerton University Assassins 57-56 at Menengai High School. After seeing close games disappear, finally Don Bosco got the job done on Saturday.  Behind a dominant second half, Don Bosco earned their first victory of the season, downing Kakamega Nebulas 68-63.
